Janet has over ten years of clinical assessment experience working with children and youth in various settings.
While primarily based in schools, Janet has previously provided psychometry services as a member of the neuropsychology team at BC Children’s Hospital. In addition, in the past, she supported other Registered Psychologists with conducting psycho-educational assessments in their private practice.
Her graduate training focused on educational psychology, with an additional specialization in early childhood education. She takes a patient and flexible approach to work with students and is passionate about helping children and youth discover their strengths and stretches so that they can better understand how to advocate for their unique learning needs.
After attaining a B.A. degree with Honours in Psychology and a minor in Family Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Janet completed a Masters of Education degree in School Psychology at UBC. Her program included extensive training in psycho-educational assessment, academic and behavioural intervention, child development, and psychopathology.
