Jessica is a practicum student pursuing a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology as well as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with more than 10 years working in the field. Through her massage therapy practice, Jessica noticed the close interaction between one's physical and mental health and decided to expand her skills to address clients' psychological well-being.
Jessica recognizes the power of counselling to gain insight and process life's inevitable challenges. Her therapeutic approach is empathic, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She incorporates elements from cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques into her sessions. She is passionate about providing care to people who have or are experiencing anxiety, significant transitions in their life, and trauma.
Jessica has a BA in Geography and Environment, a diploma in Registered Massage Therapy and is currently completing a Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
Jessica is a mother of two young children who enjoys being in nature, lifting weights, reading and connecting with friends and family.
