Julia is a Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at Simon Fraser University. She has a B.A. from McGill University, where she majored in Psychology and International Development Studies. After completing her undergraduate degree, Julia worked in psychology research at Ryerson University for five years, where she coordinated studies evaluating different types of psychotherapy to support the health of sexual minority populations.
She completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 2020. Her M.A. thesis focused on the roles of emotion regulation, mindfulness, and attachment in parent-child relationships and mental health.
Over the course of her graduate studies, Julia has received training at the Clinical Psychology Centre of Simon Fraser University, Dr. Sharon Arnold and Associates, and Back in Motion Rehab Inc., where she gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She takes a warm, sensitive, and nonjudgmental approach with clients as she helps them move toward their goals.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
In her free time, Julia likes to spend time with her family, enjoy nature, garden, cook, and practice yoga.
