Bullying resources for clients, parents, educators and other professionals. Bullying Resources Websites PREVNet is a Canadian organization focused on preventing bullying, teen dating violence and promoting healthy relationships among youth in Canada. Through partnerships with over 130 researchers and 60 youth-serving organizations, PREVNet connects research with practice to co-develop effective programs, policies, and resources. Founded in 2006, PREVNet serves as Canada's Healthy Relationships Hub, working collaboratively to build research capacity and implement evidence-based solutions nationwide. Teach Safe Schools aims to support school staff in creating safe, welcoming learning environments where students can thrive. It offers evidence-based strategies to help prevent school violence. The resources are designed to guide the entire school community in fostering student success and well-being. Anti-Bullying Programs Second Step Bullying Prevention Program is an evidence-based approach used in schools to help prevent bullying and build a safe, respectful learning environment. It teaches children and youth how to recognize, report, and refuse bullying in a respectful way. The program also strengthens social-emotional skills like empathy, emotion regulation, and assertiveness, skills that help students stand up for themselves and support others. WITS Bullying Prevention Program is a Canadian, evidence-informed initiative that helps children in kindergarten to grade 6 deal with peer conflict and bullying in safe and respectful ways. WITS stands for: Walk away Ignore Talk it out Seek help Through stories, role-playing, and school-wide activities, children learn practical strategies for responding to unwanted behaviour. The program also encourages positive relationships and community involvement by bringing together schools, families, and local community members (like police officers and athletes) to support kids. Classic Anti-Bullying Literature Bullying at School: What We Know and What We Can Do presents the results of Dr. Dan Olweus's pioneering research on bullying in schools, based on large-scale studies in Scandinavia conducted in the 1970s and 80s. It clearly defines what bullying is, outlines the characteristics of children who bully and those who are victimized, and examines the short- and long-term consequences for both groups. Olweus introduces the first comprehensive, evidence-based bullying prevention program that is still used to this day. The book emphasizes the importance of adult intervention and outlines a whole-school approach that has since influenced anti-bullying efforts around the world. Podcast My Kid is Being Bullied. What Should I Do? This episode explores how to support a middle school child who is being bullied. Dr. Lisa explains the difference between bullying and conflict, why kids bully, and the emotional impact on children. She outlines when and how adults should step in without escalating the situation and offers practical, step-by-step guidance. The discussion also covers what adults can do to support children effectively and what strategies are truly helpful in preventing bullying.
